How is typing speed measured in WPM?
Gross WPM is the number of characters typed divided by five, then divided by elapsed minutes. Accuracy is reported separately.
Is this typing test timed?
Yes. Choose 15, 30 or 60 seconds. The timer starts with your first keystroke and uses elapsed time rather than counting delayed screen updates.
