About this tool

Image Format Converter made simple.

Convert common JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, TIFF/TIF, BMP, GIF/APNG, SVG and ICO inputs to JPG, PNG or WebP. TIFF uses its first page only; some TIFF compression variants may not decode. Supported directions include PNG to WebP, WebP to PNG, WebP to JPG or PNG, JPG/JPEG to PNG or WebP, PNG to JPG, HEIC/HEIF to JPG, AVIF to JPG or PNG, TIFF/TIF to JPG or PNG, SVG to JPG or PNG, and BMP to PNG or JPG. HEIC decoding loads only when needed; AVIF and some less common inputs depend on browser support. Animated images become a single frame, SVG is rasterized and raster images do not become editable vectors. Metadata is not copied. Select a transparent background where the output supports it; JPG always uses a solid background. There is no fixed file-size cap; each image is limited to 20 megapixels to help protect browser memory.

Common questions

About Image Format Converter.

How do I convert PNG to WebP or WebP to PNG?

Choose the image, select WebP or PNG as the output format, then convert. The new copy is created on your device; compare its appearance and size before replacing an original.

Can I convert HEIC, AVIF or SVG to JPG?

HEIC uses a decoder loaded only when needed. AVIF and some other inputs depend on browser support. SVG is rasterized into pixels; a raster image cannot be converted back into an editable vector by this tool.

Does image conversion preserve animation or metadata?

No. Animated inputs become a still frame and metadata is not copied. Keep the original if animation, GPS, camera or color-profile metadata matters.

Can I convert a multi-page TIFF to JPG or PNG?

Yes. The converter uses only the first TIFF page; some TIFF compression variants may not open. Review the output and keep your original.
